s cripts are small programs that are written in a variety of simple computer languages. They can perform useful functions but they can also be used for less useful and sometimes damaging purposes, the prime examples being computer viruses and trojan-horse programs.
The worst thing about many types of s cripts is that they can operate without warning as a legitimate part or extension of another program. Most damaging of all are email attachments that contain s cripts. If you open them in an email program that allows s cripting they may execute before you even realize what you have done.
s criptrap traps s cripts when they attempt to run on your computer and provides the option of blocking them or letting them continue to run. You can also check the intercepted s cript with your anti-virus program before you decide to run it or not. This provides you with a chance of catching possibly malicious code before it causes damage. s criptrap is particularly useful for trapping s cripts that arrive in email attachments.
